Αφιέρωμα του ΑSSOCIATED PRESS στο οποίο τονίζεται σε σύγκριση με άλλες χώρες, η Ελλάδα έχει προβεί εγκαίρως στη λήψη περιοριστικών μέτρων για τον κορωνοϊό.
Το άρθρο εμφανίζεται στην ηλεκτρονική ροή ειδήσεων των New York Times και της Washington Post επισημαίνει ότι, όπως και σε πολλές πόλεις του κόσμου, έτσι και στην Αθήνα οι δρόμοι είναι άδειοι, λόγω των μέτρων περιορισμού των μετακινήσεων.
Προσθέτει ότι, σε σύγκριση με άλλες χώρες, η Ελλάδα έχει προβεί εγκαίρως στη λήψη αυστηρότερων μέτρων, τα οποία γίνονται όλο και πιο περιοριστικά.
Αναφέρεται επίσης σε μνημεία και αξιοθέατα που τώρα είναι έρημα ακόμη και με το φως της ημέρας.
Όπως αναφέρει στο δημοσίευμά του, το AP, η Ελλάδα, σε σύγκριση με πολλές άλλες χώρες, έχει πάρει επιθετικά μέτρα νωρίς. Σχολεία, παιδικοί σταθμοί και πανεπιστήμια έκλεισαν αμέσως μετά τα πρώτα επιβεβαιωμένα κρούσματα, ενώ περισσότεροι περιορισμοί εισάγονται σχεδόν κάθε μέρα.
Επίσης όλα τα χιονοδρομικά κέντρα και οργανωμένες παραλίες έκλεισαν, τα καταστήματα λιανικής κατέβασαν ρολά, προγραμματισμένες χειρουργικές επεμβάσεις αναβλήθηκαν, έκλεισαν οι εκκλησίες και όλο και περισσότεροι εργάζονται από το σπίτι τους.
Το δημοσίευμα, στην συνέχεια αναφέρεται εκτενέστερα στα μέτρα που έχει λάβει η κυβέρνηση για την μείωση της εξάπλωσης του κορωνοϊού, αλλά και στα πρόστιμα που επιβάλλονται σε περιπτώσεις που κάποιος τα παραβιάζει.
